Tuesday Ramblings

Here’s what’s happening lately:

Raspberries are summer gold in our house.

The insects and other critters are coming out in droves. A snake slithered across my foot while I picked berries this morning. It was slightly unnerving.

Last week my son and I went on a little roadtrip. We saw this:

I plan to write more about the “Quilt House” picture soon.  And the capitol is Des Moines, a lovely city with a calm demeanor.

I’ve been working on this:

I wish I could say that I’ve finished some crafty things, but it seems most of it is at that nearly complete phase where I’m overwhelmed by the number of projects to do.  I think often about being more monogamous with my projects, but it would mean being willing to part with at least 50 percent of my supplies. A year ago it would have been unthinkable; today it’s percolating in my mind.

Maybe I ought to write a list of the projects I really, really want to do and be vigilant/harsh with my stashes of yarn, fabric, and bric-a-brac.  Okay then, new post coming soon.

About lionsdaughter

I like to make things, lots of things, but not all things. I love to sew, knit, embroider, take pictures, scrapbook, dye fibers, work clay in the summer, garden. I want to try weaving, spinning, and stain glass work. I have no interest in auto body, upholstery, or tanning (either working animal skin or purposefully darkening my own).
