Yes, I live in the Northern Hemisphere. No, I don’t live in Canada.
But I’m beginning to think the White Witch from Narnia is attempting to take over the land and leave us with permanent winter.
So, yes, my kids are home from school on May 2 for a Snow Day. Even the local University is closed, and it’s always the very last place to close for snow.
Soon, I’ll send the kids outside to make an unprecedented snowman in May and photo-document it for all time.
Perhaps I’ll wear my new Vintage Knee Socks by Hannah Fettig. I finished these a while ago, but just got around to photographing them.
They were super easy with a geometric knit and purl pattern to keep me engaged. I’m no longer afraid to knit knee highs, and I was pleasantly surprised at how fast they knit up.
The bad news: I knit them to wear specifically with these boots, but the socks are a little too thick. I’ll wear them with my Danskos though, so it’s all good.
Lastly, a chipmunk under my deck is standing stock still and chirping at regular quarter-beat intervals for the last two hours non-stop… because of the snow??? I’m going to try to get a photo of him/her, but nature photography has never been my strong suit.
