So Close

I am holding up my thumb and index finger; they are centimenters apart.  Because that’s exactly how close I am to finishing up this languishing project.

My blog is about my crafty exploits, but as the subtitle suggests, it’s also about finishing the 100s of projects I’ve started – but not finished.

And this cross stitch most definitely belongs in the top ten.

I started this while pregnant in 2002.  Since it’s 2012, that means it’s been ignored for most of 10 years.  I’ll share more about my cross-stitch process when I unveil this baby in its frame, which I am hoping to take to the framer’s tomorrow even if that means I have to close that centimeter gap early tomorrow morning.

About lionsdaughter

I like to make things, lots of things, but not all things. I love to sew, knit, embroider, take pictures, scrapbook, dye fibers, work clay in the summer, garden. I want to try weaving, spinning, and stain glass work. I have no interest in auto body, upholstery, or tanning (either working animal skin or purposefully darkening my own).
